Experiencing the Magic of Currajong Retreat

Picture this:  you’re driving through rolling hills of lush greenery and towering trees, the sun shimmering through the branches, warming your skin; your favourite music on blast as you make your way to the little oasis of the Sapphire Coast.   You find your way to the gates of Currajong Retreat, following the signs guiding you through farm fields and gates, until you’re greeted by the friendly faces of the Angora goats and stunning views of the cozy houses – smoke from the fireplace pluming out the top, with a mountainous backdrop.   You feel like you’ve been dropped into a scene of a movie.  The best part?  It’s where you get to wake up each morning for the next little while.

Just another 30seconds beyond is where you find your very own luxury glamping tent.  Catered to your every need to make your stay as comfortable and uniquely you as possible, meals suited to your taste and delivered right to your door each morning + evening, a private balcony to take in the stunning views of the Towamba River and sunrise – or even enjoy a cheeky bubble bath with some bubbles of your own to sip on at any time.

Whether you’re looking for a beautiful place to disappear to with your loved one for a few days, or a commutable place to relax in between exploring the local gems of the Sapphire coast – Currajong Retreat is the place for you.

I had the pleasure of visiting this special place a couple weeks ago and can assure you the only qualm I had was having to leave this little haven.  Lara, Jenny and Grant have truly done it all with this beautiful property, and somehow manage to run a full functioning goat farm as primary producers of Mohair, while simultaneously running one of the best luxury getaway experiences you’ll ever find – with just the 3 of them!   From getting greeted at the main house/reception space, to your personally selected first meal on your first night, to breakfast left at your doorstep with a menu to select what you’d like for dinner later on, to the morning tour of the farm and getting to meet the lovely goats, to a solo exploration walk around the property and down to the river, to wine and a bubble bath before ending the night with a homecooked dinner and dessert by the fire – you feel truly spoilt by the whole experience.

I’m sincerely blown away by the hospitality and attention to detail that was seen throughout the entirety of my time with Currajong Retreat and can assure you you’ll experience the same wonderful thoughtfulness as I did; I honestly can’t recommend it enough!

If you’re looking to book a getaway with Currajong Retreat, head to their website to select your dates; and be sure to follow them on Instagram for exciting updates and stunning content of their property.
